It’s Vasuclar Birthmark Awareness Day! Hemangiomas It’s Vasuclar Birthmark Awareness Day! Hemangiomas are the most common benign tumor in infants, affecting approximately 1 in every 10 children. Some are bright red and raised (“strawberry marks”), while others may appear bluish beneath the skin.

Most hemangiomas are harmless and gradually shrink over time on their own. However, some children may require treatment if the hemangioma affects breathing, vision, feeding, hearing, or becomes painful. Treatments can include medications like Propranolol, topical creams, laser therapy, or surgery. #hemangioma #vascularbirthmark #awareness #children #educate
